We always start with you – the customer. Send us your utility bill and let’s discuss your energy goals.

02
We create a first-pass design & price for your home using industry-leading design software to model your system.

03
After selecting the right option for your budget and goals, we commence formal engineering and permitting, and provide a final price quote.

04
We professionally install your system, following NABCEP and other industry standard best practices. After a few days, you begin experiencing clean energy freedom!
Yes! Absolutely and quite-well when properly designed and installed. Michigan may be known for long winters but solar is still effective. Our customers have achieved negative utility bills. Even when weather conditions are not ideal, modern solar photovoltaic panels can still harvest energy.
Energy Storage multiplies the value of Solar Power. When the grid is down, they serve as a silent generator to keep your house running (we can even do whole-home back-up!). When the grid is working, they increase solar self-consumption and keep you from using expensive on-peak grid electricity, even after the sun sets. They’re like a traditional combustion generator, but are clean, silent, and pay for themselves!
A lot less than your utility bills. No two homes or systems are the same so we follow a disciplined design and engineering process to offer our customers the right system at a price within their budget. Systems are on the order of $X0,000 depending on your energy usage and goals.
We are on a mission to bring affordable, reliable, clean, democratic energy to everyone, Michigan and beyond. Our team is highly experienced and credentialed with a specialty for Grid-Optional system designs; we have battery expertise that sets us apart from traditional solar installers.
Our mission: solar power and energy storage for everyone, Michigan and beyond!
Steven ‘Solar Steve’ Sherman is an energy systems engineer and entrepreneur passionate about all things energy. Following his studies at the University of Michigan, he spent the first decade of his career working in the automotive world on electric vehicles and battery systems. This included time at high-tech battery start-up, ONE – Our Next Energy, where he led business and product development for the residential and international divisions; this included a life-changing trip to Tanzania and Mozambique to study why nearly a billion people still live without access to electricity. After ONE, he founded Superior Energy to provide homeowners with more affordable, reliable, sustainable, and democratic energy systems. He is NABCEP PVIP board-certified and a full-stack engineer that centers decisions around the customer to meet their energy goals.
